Answers from Dr. Kaiser

Question:

I have recently been diagnosed with neuropathy.  My doctor suggested that I start taking Calcuim and Magnesuim.  I followed through with the doctor's suggestion, but my feet always feel numb and my ankles usually ache.  Is there something else I can do or take?

Dr. Kaiser replies:

Calcium and magnesium are a good start.  However, it is important that you take them in the correct dosages and add several other nutrients that often help reverse neuropathy symptoms.  These include vitamin B6, alpha lipoic acid, and acetyl L-carnitine.  You can view the exact dosages I recommend on my website under the vitamin packet section.  If you are over 145 lbs. you should take the double-strength dosage.  If you are under 145 lbs. you should take the single-strength dosage.  Thanks for your question, Dr. Jon Kaiser
