Question:

I'm Kevin, and I've been positive for HIV 8yrs now and have done all alternative/holistic care right from the onset of my diagnosis.
I have read two of your books "Immune Power" and "Healing HIV".  I have always been under the impression that you were stressing alternative therapies first and foremost, however, I just read one of your lectures and I quote you:

"And I hope that by the end of this evening you'll really see the light and you'll agree with me that it's not an either-or proposition. It's not should I do it naturally, or should I do it with pharmaceuticals. It's how can I put the best of everything together in a very balanced, individualized way, so I take just the right amount of medication, and I do everything I can naturally to support my body."

Now that I have read this you have me wondering just what your actual stand on natural therapies is?  A lot of my protocol with alternatives came from your books and now I'm a little confused.

Hello Kevin: 

I stand by the statement I made above.  In both my books, I have always advocated a balanced approach which recommends getting as much immune support as possible from an aggressive natural therapies program while at the same time, utilizing antiviral medications in an intelligent and measured fashion.  In other words, the antiviral meds are used to supplement the natural therapies, not the other way around.

Some of my patients have been able to avoid the use of antiviral medications for over a decade by following my aggressive natural therapies program alone.  My new vitamin protocol is helping boost many of my patients immune systems while at the same time, protecting those who need to take antiviral medications from experiencing their toxicity.
