Recovery from Long Covid - Part 1

I invite you to watch my newly posted Youtube video on 'Recovery from Long Covid' by clicking HERE

If one hundred people get infected with the same genetic strain of coronavirus, will they all experience the same course and outcome? Absolutely not. Twenty may require hospitalization, a few might die, but several could remain completely asymptomatic. Why such a divergent response from the same strain of virus?

The difference lies in the underlying health of the host. Many individuals have nutritional imbalances, adrenal suppression and chronic inflammation that is not causing overt symptoms. When they get hit by a severe Covid-19 infection, it feels like a wave completely knocks them off their feet. The previously stable house of cards quickly collapses.

Some level of Covid symptoms persist for at least a year in up to 30% of individuals. This is referred to as 'Long Covid'. Applying a functional medicine approach to treating Long Covid can help patients return to balance and homeostasis.

My seven part treatment program includes:

1. Mitochondrial Support

2. Adrenal Support

3. Microbiome Support

4. Deep Restorative Sleep

5. Strategic Pacing

6. Environmental Testing

7. Medications

To learn how to optimize each of these categories, please view my YouTube video 'Recovery from Long Covid' by clicking HERE

To properly support your mitochondria, I recommend the following nutritional protocol:

1. Acetyl-L-carnitine 500mg (1-2x/day)

2. N-acetyl-cysteine 600mg (1-2x/day)

3. Alpha Lipoic Acid 200mg (1-2x/day)

4. Coenzyme Q-10 50mg (1-2x/day)

5. Vitamin C 1,000mg (1-2x/day)

6. Selenium 100mcg (1-2x/day)

7. Zinc 15mg (1-2x/day)

This entire nutrient formula can all be found in a single supplement

called K-PAX Immune:

I will post Part 2 of this series in a few days. It will cover additional details on this program plus a description of several challenging case histories.

I hope you can forward my Blog to your friends and family. Thanks!
